ABOUT ME
Background:
B.S. Kinesiology: Therapeutic Exercise Sac State, 2008
M.S. Physical Therapy Sac State, 2011
NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) 2010-2023
APTA Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist
(OCS) 2016-2026
Current:
I love what I do. There is not enough time in the day for me to dive into all of the literature and courses that interest me in the fields of physical therapy, strength & conditioning, and Jiu-Jitsu. The entirety of my career has been focused on applying that knowledge and seeking the best results in private practice outpatient physical therapy.
Curiosity, wanting the best for my clients, and connecting with people shapes my work.
As does my personal obsession with movement. Movement is medicine, and good for the soul.
My movement obsessions include:
Training Jiu-Jitsu at El Dorado Hills Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu 2-4 days/week
Weight lifting and conditioning 2 days/week.
My seasonal side hobbies over the years have included snowboarding, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, indoor rock climbing, running, and biking, easy hikes with my fam, and gardening. Once upon a time I ran a Tough Mudder, worked at a Pilates studio/PT clinic, and practiced Pilates. Living an active lifestyle has always been my jam, and I am here to support you wherever you may be on your active journey.
I am also a Mom of 4, a wife, parent assistant coach for a kids Jiu-Jitsu class, and help out at my kids school. I get it when clients say they are busy.
